A Recording Retreat

Located on the peak of beautiful Mount Helen overlooking Ballarat, Homestead Studio provides a motivating, affordable and accommodating space for artists looking to record an album, voice overs or pre-production.

With a huge 7m-9m recording space, isolation booths, control room, options for accommodation and a comprehensive gear list, Homestead Studio will give you a space away from distraction to record your project professionally and in peace.

The Layout

The Main Room

This large 7m x 9m treated room housing a 6’2” grand piano is the perfect setting for live tracking of any kind. Easily fitting a 4 piece in it alone, any group can easily put down rhythm sections in one take.

The Booths

We have two isolated recording booths, the live and the dead booth, to accommodate for any need from voice overs for film to amp isolation.

The Control Room

The Control Room houses our beautiful Toft ATB32, outboard gear and 1/2 Inch 8 Track Tape Machine. An extremely flat listening space with flush mounted speakers so your tracks can be monitored as accurately as possible.

The Breakout

Including a sitting area with a stunning view over Ballarat, kitchen and entertainment the Breakout Area is where musicians take a break from recording and unwind.
